Create website sales

PICK A PUNCHY HEADLINE
That first big bit of text across your homepage has a huge amount of selling power. Make it relevant, make it punchy and make sure that if that is all a potential customer reads they may be sold.

START CONVERTING EARLY ON THE PAGE
Lots of marketing speakers talk about 'above the fold'. Put simply, that's the part of the screen that shows before you scroll down. If you want to capture emails, get someone to contact you, or go to a particular page, make sure you put that element of the site above the fold, at the top of the page.

VIDEO CONTENT SELLS
There's something about a video that draws users in. Think about using video content on your landing page to make it more relatable.

SET ADS TO DIFFERENT PAGES
If you have a number of services, think about sending your different adwords accounts to different pages. If you're advertising a product, send people straight to that product page, not the landing page.

NUMBERS MATTER
When you ad social media links or email sign up links to your site, think about including the number of followers with them. Just like testimonials, social media numbers can help with the all important trust factor.

BE SPECIFIC
People like to know what they are going to get when they buy your product or service. Make sure you give a full description on your site, if there are specifications, include them.

FOCUS...FOCUS!
Make sure your landing page direct your customers exactly where you want them to go. Send them towards your sales, give them tunnel vision about what they are reading. Focus!

PHOTOGRAPH LIKE A PRO
Don't just throw up some home pics you took on your phone. Make sure the photos on your page are professional. If you can't afford to pay a photographer, have a look at stock photography sites.
